Visit statistics
If you have given consent in the notice at the bottom of the page, the site loads Yandex Metrica: it collects anonymised details of the visit and a session recording. Without consent it is not loaded. What data is involved, how long it is kept and how to withdraw consent are set out in the Cookie Policy.
Technical details recorded automatically
- IP address - to protect the form from automated submissions and abuse
- The address of the page the enquiry was sent from, and the address you arrived from
- The interface language you selected on the site
We do not collect special category data and do not ask for it through the form. If your enquiry involves health, criminal record, beliefs or other sensitive information, do not put it in the form - we will discuss it in person.
3. On what basis and for what purpose
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| To answer your enquiry and discuss the matter | Your consent, given by ticking the box in the form |
| To enter into and perform an engagement for services | Performance of a contract, or steps prior to entering one |
| Protecting the form from spam and abuse | Legitimate interest in keeping the site working |
| Keeping correspondence relating to services provided | Compliance with legal requirements applying to the practice |
We do not use your data for advertising and do not pass it to third parties for marketing.
4. How long we keep data
- An enquiry that did not turn into work - up to 12 months from receipt, then deleted.
- Client data - for the duration of the services and thereafter within the periods set by Georgian legislation for documents of the relevant kind.
- Web server technical logs - up to 30 days.
5. Who data is passed to
We do not sell data and do not pass it to third parties, except to the service providers without whom the site and the mail would not work, and in cases expressly provided for by law.
| Who | What they receive | Where |
|---|---|---|
| The site's hosting provider | hosting the site and storing enquiries | European Union |
| Yandex Metrica | anonymised visit statistics - only if you have given consent | Russia |
Data may be disclosed to state authorities where the law requires it and the request is properly made.
6. Your rights
- To be told what data of yours we process, and to request a copy of it
- To require inaccurate data to be corrected
- To require data to be deleted or its processing restricted
- To withdraw consent - at any time and without giving reasons
- To object to processing based on legitimate interest
- To complain to the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, and where the GDPR applies, to the supervisory authority where you are located
Send requests to office@kanon.ge. We will reply within the period set by law; withdrawal of consent we act on immediately.
Withdrawing consent does not make processing carried out before the withdrawal unlawful, and does not stop processing on other grounds - for example where the data is needed to perform a contract already entered into.
7. How we protect data
- The site runs over HTTPS and the connection is encrypted
- Enquiries are stored outside the public part of the site and are not reachable from the internet
- Access to the server is by cryptographic key only; password login is disabled
- Mailboxes are password protected and the connection to the mail server is encrypted
No measure gives an absolute guarantee. If a breach occurs that affects your rights, we will notify you and the supervisory authority in the manner the law prescribes.
8. Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If such data has reached us, tell us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
The current version is always published on this page; the date is shown at the top. We will flag material changes on the site.
