Account unblocking and responding to an AML request
We deal with a blocked account and prepare the response to a bank's anti-money-laundering request: establish the reason, gather the evidence and handle the correspondence.
An AML request is not an accusation. It is the bank's duty to check a transaction, and in most cases documents settle the question. But the time to answer is limited, and silence is not read in your favour.
What the work covers
- Reading the request. What exactly the bank is asking, which transactions raised the question and by when an answer is due.
- Identifying what is missing. Usually the problem is not the transaction itself but the gap between it and the documents that explain it.
- Gathering evidence: contracts, invoices, acts, statements, documents on the source of funds.
- Drafting a written response - a coherent explanation with exhibits, not a bundle of files.
- Correspondence with the bank and answers to follow-up questions.
- Working through the consequences: what to do if the answer is no, and how it affects your other accounts.
What is not included
- The bank's decision to unblock. It cannot be guaranteed.
- Creating documents that never existed. We work with what there is.
- Lifting restrictions imposed not by the bank but by a court or an authority - that is separate work.
- Restoring the relationship if the bank has decided to end it.
What you will need
- The bank's request and the deadline for the answer.
- The account statement for the period in question.
- Documents on the transactions concerned: contracts, invoices, acts.
- Documents on the source of funds.
- All previous correspondence with the bank on the matter.
How the work goes
- You describe the case - through the form, by email or in a messenger.
- A lawyer reviews the facts: what you already have, what has to be obtained, where the weak points are.
- We agree the scope and the price. Up to this point you pay nothing.
- We sign a contract in which the scope of the service is set out in writing.
- You hand over the documents, we check the set and tell you what is missing.
- We run the procedure and keep you informed at every step.
- You receive the result and the full set of documents.
Prices
There is no state fee in this procedure.
| Service | Our fee |
|---|---|
| Account unblocking and response to an AML request | $200 |
Consultation - from $30. The price for your case is confirmed before the work starts and fixed in the contract.
What is outside our control
- The bank's decision and how long it takes.
- The bank's internal rules, which it does not disclose.
- Information from external sources we cannot access.
- Actions taken before you came to us.
We flag the weak points immediately. If there are no supporting documents at all, wording will not solve it.
Send the bank's request and say which transactions it concerns. We will say what has to be evidenced and by when.

It sets out the scope of our service and the general order of the procedure. It is not legal advice and not a public offer: the scope, the timing and the price for a particular matter are agreed individually and recorded in the contract.
