Service
Sole trader registration in Georgia
We register individual entrepreneur status: file with the register, put you on the tax record and, where the activity qualifies, obtain small business status with a 1% turnover rate.
A sole trader is liable with personal assets - that is the main difference from an LLC and the main reason to choose the form deliberately. We compare the two in a separate explainer.
What the work covers
- Reviewing the activity. Not every activity qualifies for the 1% rate: some are excluded from the small business regime. We check this before filing, not after.
- Registration with the entrepreneurs register through the House of Justice.
- Registered address - checking that it qualifies and obtaining the owner's consent. Included in the price.
- Tax registration and access to the taxpayer account.
- Application for small business status, where the activity qualifies.
- Support throughout the procedure - included in the price.
- Translations and notarial certification where required.
- The full set of documents: the register extract and everything you will need afterwards.
Registering without travelling
If coming in person is inconvenient, the procedure is carried out under a power of attorney that you sign before a notary where you are, with an apostille and translation. Note that opening a bank account will usually still require you in person - that is the bank's rule, not the register's.
What is not included
- The state fee at the House of Justice. It is paid separately and depends on the processing time you choose.
- The bank's decision on an account. We prepare the set and support the application, but the bank decides by its own rules.
- Ongoing bookkeeping and reporting after registration - that is separate work.
- Tax obligations in your country of residence. Registering in Georgia does not cancel them.
- Licences and permits for regulated activities.
What you will need
- Your passport.
- An address for registration and the owner's consent, if the address is yours.
- A description of the activity - what you will actually be doing.
- A power of attorney with apostille and translation, if we register without you.
- Details of your tax residency, if you have one elsewhere.
How the work goes
- You describe the case - through the form, by email or in a messenger.
- A lawyer reviews the facts: what you already have, what has to be obtained, where the weak points are.
- We agree the scope and the price. Up to this point you pay nothing.
- We sign a contract in which the scope of the service is set out in writing.
- You hand over the documents, we check the set and tell you what is missing.
- We run the procedure and keep you informed at every step.
- You receive the result and the full set of documents.
Prices
The price covers support through the procedure and the registered address. The state fee is paid separately - it is set by the state and we do not mark it up.

Consultation - from $30. The price for your case is confirmed before the work starts and fixed in the contract.
What is outside our control
- Processing times at the House of Justice and the tax authority.
- Whether your activity is treated as small business - the tax authority decides.
- The bank's requirements for documents and for the description of the activity.
- Documents issued in another country and only to their holder in person.
Where a decision rests with an authority or a bank, we say so before the work starts, not after a refusal.
Tell us what you plan to do and whether you will come in person. We will say whether small business status fits and what you will need.

It sets out the scope of our service and the general order of the procedure. It is not legal advice and not a public offer: the scope, the timing and the price for a particular matter are agreed individually and recorded in the contract. Requirements, fees and practice change, so anything here is checked against the position on the day you apply. In many procedures the final decision rests with the competent authority and its discretion, so a positive outcome cannot be guaranteed.
