Residence permit through sole trader status in Georgia
We prepare a residence permit application on the basis of entrepreneurial activity: check that the basis applies, assemble the set, file and run the case through to the decision.
The basis works when the activity is real: there is turnover, reporting is filed and tax is paid. A registered but dormant sole trader is a weak basis, and we will say so before filing.
What the work covers
- Checking the basis and whether it applies in your case.
- Checking your current status and dates of lawful stay.
- The document set for this basis.
- Translations, notarial certification and support with apostilles.
- Cross-checking the documents. Different spellings of names, mismatched dates, expired certificates - the most common cause of lost time.
- Filing and running the case through to the decision.
- Working with a refusal: we read the wording and say what applies - an appeal or a fresh application, possibly on a different basis.
What is not included
- The decision itself. It rests with the state authority. Nobody, ourselves included, can guarantee it, and we make no promises of that kind.
- The state fee. Paid separately; its size depends on the processing time you choose.
- Obtaining documents in another country where they are issued only to the applicant in person.
- Medical insurance, where required - you arrange it.
- The applicant's own steps: attendance, biometrics.
What you will need
- Your passport - every completed page.
- All current and previous Georgian documents: residence permit, ID card, certificates.
- A timeline of entries and exits over recent years.
- Proof of where you live in Georgia.
- Documents on your income and its source.
- Family members' documents for a joint application.
- Any previous refusals and the decisions on them, with dates.
- Details of what has already been apostilled and translated, and what has not.
Missing part of the set is not a reason to wait. At the review it often turns out that half of what was collected is not needed and what is needed is missing.
How the work goes
- You describe the case - through the form, by email or in a messenger.
- A lawyer reviews the facts: what you already have, what has to be obtained, where the weak points are.
- We agree the scope and the price. Up to this point you pay nothing.
- We sign a contract in which the scope of the service is set out in writing.
- You hand over the documents, we check the set and tell you what is missing.
- We run the procedure and keep you informed at every step.
- You receive the result and the full set of documents.
Prices
Our fee and the state fee are counted separately. The fee is set by the state, its size depends on the processing time, and we do not mark it up.
| Service | Our fee |
|---|---|
| Residence permit through sole trader status | 700 GEL |
Consultation - from $30. The price for your case is confirmed before the work starts and fixed in the contract.
What is outside our control
- The authority's decision and how long the review takes.
- Requirements for the document set: they are refined and must be checked on the filing date.
- The work of another country's authorities - certificates, apostilles, legalisation.
- Circumstances that already exist: previous refusals, breaches of stay, mismatches in documents from earlier years.
We tell you the weak points of the case before the work starts. If in our view the basis is shaky, you will hear it plainly rather than after filing.
Tell us whether the sole trader is already registered and what your current status is. We will say whether this basis fits and what to collect.

It sets out the scope of our service and the general order of the procedure. It is not legal advice and not a public offer: the scope, the timing and the price for a particular matter are agreed individually and recorded in the contract. Requirements, fees and practice change, so anything here is checked against the position on the day you apply. In many procedures the final decision rests with the competent authority and its discretion, so a positive outcome cannot be guaranteed.
