Training: filing your sole trader returns yourself (1% regime)
We teach you to file your own returns if you are a sole trader with small business status (1% tax). Most often these are IT specialists and freelancers who prefer to handle it themselves.
The training is an online call on Zoom, WhatsApp or Telegram, whichever suits you, and takes about 45 minutes. An accountant shows on screen, step by step, where returns are filed in the tax portal, what to fill in and how to check that everything has been accepted. You repeat the steps in your own account and ask questions about your situation.
Our fee: 400 GEL, consultation $30

What the training covers
- Tax portal: where the return is filed and where to check that it has been accepted.
- Small business return: which fields to fill in and where the figures come from.
- Foreign currency income: how to account for client payments in dollars and euros.
- Paying the tax: how to pay it and make sure the payment has arrived.
- Deadlines and common mistakes that lead to fines and late-payment interest.
- Your questions: we go through your situation at the end of the call.
What is not included
- Filing for you. If you would rather we filed, there is monthly bookkeeping: from 300 GEL a month.
- Catching up on past periods if returns were not filed: this is separate work.
- Sole trader registration and small business status. This is a separate service.
- Taxes in your country of residence. Your obligations there remain and follow that country's rules.
What to prepare for the call
- A computer with Zoom, WhatsApp or Telegram that you can share your screen from.
- Access to the tax portal: login, password and the phone that receives the code.
- Your sole trader bank statement for last month, so we can go through the return with your own figures.
- The questions you already have.
If you are not sure you have access to the portal, write to us before the call: we will check in advance so the training time is not lost.
How the training goes
- You send a request: through the form, on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- We agree a day and time for the call during business hours: Mon–Fri, 10:00–18:00 Tbilisi time.
- We send you a Zoom link or call you on WhatsApp or Telegram, whichever suits you.
- For about 45 minutes an accountant shows the steps on screen and you repeat them in your own account.
- At the end of the call we go through your questions.

What is outside our control
- How the tax portal works: outages and interface changes.
- Changes in the law: rates, thresholds and deadlines.
- Decisions of the tax authority on your status and charges.
The training does not suit everyone. If you have employees, several activities or turnover approaching the limit for small business status, we will say so plainly: in those cases it is safer to leave the filing to an accountant.
