Tax residency in Georgia
We review and arrange Georgian tax residency, including the basis for people with high income and assets. The work starts with a check: whether the basis applies at all and what evidences it.
Tax residency is not the same as a residence permit. They are different statuses, granted on different grounds by different authorities, and having one does not give you the other.
What the work covers
- Reviewing your situation: where you actually spend your time, where your income and assets are, and where you are resident now.
- Checking the available grounds and choosing between them.
- Assessing the consequences. Changing residency affects the country where you are resident now - that has to be considered before filing.
- The document set and the supporting evidence.
- Filing and support through to the decision.
- Obtaining the confirming document and explaining how to use it.
What is not included
- The authority's decision. It cannot be guaranteed.
- Tax advice in another country. The consequences where you are currently resident are assessed by a specialist there.
- Filing tax returns - that is separate work.
- Concealing information from any authority.
What you will need
- A timeline of where you have been, by country, over recent years.
- Details of your income sources and their size.
- Details of your assets and where they are.
- Your current tax status and the documents confirming it.
- Georgian documents you already hold: residence permit, ID card, sole trader registration.
How the work goes
- You describe the case - through the form, by email or in a messenger.
- A lawyer reviews the facts: what you already have, what has to be obtained, where the weak points are.
- We agree the scope and the price. Up to this point you pay nothing.
- We sign a contract in which the scope of the service is set out in writing.
- You hand over the documents, we check the set and tell you what is missing.
- We run the procedure and keep you informed at every step.
- You receive the result and the full set of documents.

We quote after the review: the amount of work here depends heavily on how many countries and income sources are involved.

What is outside our control
- The authority's decision and how long the review takes.
- Requirements for the document set: they are refined and must be checked on the filing date.
- The work of another country's authorities - certificates, apostilles, legalisation.
- Circumstances that already exist: previous refusals, breaches of stay, mismatches in documents from earlier years.
We tell you the weak points of the case before the work starts. If in our view the basis is shaky, you will hear it plainly rather than after filing.
